CHIP (Changing How Individuals Prosper) is a FinTech matching platform founded by Dana L. Wilson that connects individuals with Black and Latinx financial professionals. NITM has served as CHIP's core technology partner for over five years, spanning advisory, interim CTO, design, development, and ongoing platform evolution. From an initial GlideApps MVP built to validate the market, to a fully migrated AWS and WordPress production platform, to an AI-powered voice onboarding experience, NITM has helped CHIP build, scale, and fund a platform that is changing how people access financial guidance.

CHIP needed to test the market before committing to a full custom build. Without a scalable or maintainable platform, early development costs could have consumed the runway before any real validation happened.
The original workflow required Dana to manually match consumers with professionals using a Google Sheet, coordinate scheduling through Oncehub, and send confirmations via Constant Contact. Every new user added friction and time to an already stretched team.
Moving from a no-code prototype to a production-grade platform requires careful architecture decisions. CHIP needed a partner who could scope, design, and execute that migration without disrupting early momentum or overbuilding before product-market fit was confirmed.
As the platform matured, onboarding remained one of the biggest barriers to user activation. The existing flow required significant time and effort from new users and limited the quality and volume of information they shared during sign-up.
Without a dedicated internal tech team, CHIP needed ongoing CTO-level guidance to prioritize features, manage delivery, maintain the platform, and communicate the technology vision to stakeholders and investors.

CHIP now operates a stable, scalable FinTech platform with over 200 paying professionals and a growing consumer base. The platform has attracted NJ State funding in 2026, with ongoing investor conversations accelerating in the second half of the year. Voice onboarding has meaningfully reduced friction for new users while improving the quality of data collected at sign-up, directly supporting the platform's matching quality and user experience goals.
Conversational voice onboarding reduced the time required to complete sign-up by 75%, making the first experience on the platform significantly faster and easier for new users.
Despite a shorter onboarding flow, users shared three times the volume of information compared to the previous experience. Less friction produced more signal.
CHIP currently supports over 200 paying professionals with a growing consumer user base actively seeking financial guidance and matching support.

Built the initial MVP on GlideApps to validate the CHIP concept at a fraction of the cost of a custom build. This phase enabled real user feedback and gave the team a clear picture of what a production platform needed to do before a single line of custom code was written.
Scoped, designed, and executed a full migration from the GlideApps prototype to a scalable AWS-hosted production platform and WordPress marketing presence. This included rebuilding the matching workflow, introducing professional and company profile management, and implementing subscription billing through Stripe.
Continued delivering a structured roadmap across design, development, and advisory over five years. The most recent milestone is a conversational voice onboarding implementation, 100% AWS funded, that reduced onboarding time by 75% and tripled the volume of information users shared.
